Insulin Syringe

The insulin syringe has three parts: a needle, a syringe, and a plunger.

The needle is short and thin, allowing it to pass easily through the skin and reduce pain. There is a cap that covers and protects the needle before use.
The insulin tube is the long, thin lumen that holds the insulin. The syringe is marked with lines for measuring the number of insulin units.
The plunger is a long, thin rod that fits snugly inside the barrel of the syringe. It slides easily up and down to draw insulin into the syringe or push insulin out of the syringe through the needle. The lower end of the plunger has a rubber seal to prevent leakage. This rubber seal matches the line on the syringe to measure the correct amount of insulin.
